DIY | das fräulein im nährausch

letzte woche hat unser junges fräulein unsere kleine osterhäsin sich
quasi in rausch genäht. sie wollte gern ostergeschenke für alle ihre
lieben selbstmachen, am liebsten an der nähmaschine. es sollte nicht zu lange dauern und auch nicht zu kompliziert sein. also schlug ich ihr das
reißverschluß-täschchen “HERZ schlamperle” von der farbenmix TASCHENSPIELER CD [hier zu bekommen] vor.
last week our young fräulein our little easter bunny was in a kind of sewing rush. she wanted to sew up some quick and easy easter gifts for all her beloved ones, so i suggested the zipper-pouch “HERZ schlamperle” from the farbenmix TASCHENSPIELER CD [available here] to her.

nach der ersten probetasche, die sie für sich selbst genäht hat [die zweite von links] und ein bisschen zusätzlicher hilfestellung, was wie herum aufeinander gehört, kam sie mit der einfachen bebilderten anleitung ganz schnell allein klar… und sssssssssssssssssssssttttt… waren es nach zwei näh-nachmittagen acht weitere täschchen zum verschenken! 

after she sewed up the first test pouch for herself [the second from left] with a little help, she managed to do the rest all alone…. and sssssssssssssssssssssttttt… after two sewing afternoons there were eight more pieces to give away!

luzie war mächtig stolz auf ihr werk [sogar mit reißverschlüssen!!!]. das kann sie auch sein und ich bin es auch. ein großes lob an dieser stelle mal wieder an die farbenmix-anleitungen, die selbst den kleinsten nähanfängerinnen das nähen zu einem kinderspiel machen. ich brauche wohl nicht erwähnen, dass sich alle beschenkten sehr über ihr “osterei” gefreut haben, oder? 
luzie was truely proud of her work [even with zippers!]. and i’m proud, too. let me commend the farbenmix picture-tutorials here. they turn even the smallest lady into a seamstress, so that it’s a breeze. i don’t need to tell you that the presentees were all happy about their pretty gifts, do i?

 

P.S. ich habe mich übrigens gestern sehr darüber gefreut, dass ich bei stefanie von LUSSEKATTS LIV mit einem interview auf ihrem bezaubernden schweden-blog zu gast sein durfte. DANKE! das liebe vorwort und auch die wunderbaren kommentare gingen runter wie öl!

2 urlaubsutensilientäschchen

(ja, ich mag das, dass man im deutschen einfach lauter hauptwörter aneinander hängen kann und dann ein ganz neues wort bekommt… *lach* ) ich wollte euch ja noch schnell zeigen, was ich schon vor einer ganzen weile für den urlaub genäht habe! 
i’d like to show you two pouches i sewed lately for our vacation!
luzie hat ja unterwegs, wenn wir fliegen oder länger mit dem auto unterwegs immer ihre URBANEARS kopfhörer dabei, um auf ihrem iPod hörspiele oder musik zum zeitvertreib zu hören. wenn sie sie nicht auf dem kopf hat, haben diese jetzt ein kuscheliges und cooles zuhause… 
luzie always takes her URBANEARS with her when we’re flying on a plane or making a longer roadtrip. she needs them to listen to stories or music from her iPod to pass the time. when she doesn’t wear them on her ears the headphones now have some cool bag to store them.

ich habe ihr einen beutel mit zugband zur aufbewahrung genäht und passenderweise mit DJane PIPPA aus meiner PARTY PEOPLE stickserie bestickt.
i sewed a small sac with a pull string to close it. the perfectly matching embroidery is DJane PIPPA from my last embroidery set called PARTY PEOPLE.

das band ist mit ein paar neon-perlen verziert und innen ist das beutelchen mit frottee-sweat-stoff gefüttert, so dass der inhalt schön gepolstert ist.

the string has been embellished with some neon plastic beads and the inside of the bag is soft sweater cloth that pads the headphones perfectly.

außerdem ist noch ein reißverschlusstäschchen für alles mögliche entstanden. kosmetik, reiseapotheke oder auch reiseunterlagen können darin platz finden. bestickt ist es mit dem süßen Uboot aus LILA-LOTTAs toller sommerstickserie CALA MAGDALENA
furthermore i made some zipper pouch for make up, a first-aid kit, travel documents or whatever is needed. the embroidery i used is the cute submarine you can find in LILA-LOTTA‘s summer embroidery set CALA MAGDALENA.

… und wer sich jetzt fragt, was denn das bitteschön für ein toller stoff ist, den ich da in beiden teilchen vernäht habe, dem sei gesagt, dass dieses stöffchen BUBBLE STARS heute ganz brandneu auf den markt kommt. designt von der lieben nadia von MINIPLÄTZCHEN und produziert von FARBENMIX in zusammenarbeit mit der firma SWAFING. dort bei swafing können diese tollen sommer-stöffchen ab heute von den HÄNDLERN bestell werden und werden dann hoffentlich bald bei den stoffHÄNDLERN eures vertrauens in ihren shops zu haben sein. viel spaß beim vernähen! :)

what a kitchen adornment!

sind sie nicht hübsch? ich wollte mir schon ganz lange ein paar
topflappen (was für ein schnödes wort dafür! pöh!) nach frau müllis
GRANNY SMITH e-book nähen…. und  jetzt, als ich die ersten meter des CHIRP ORNAMENTS
bekam, habe ich das endlich in angriff genommen. also ja, sie sind wirklich hübsch geworden, meine zier-topflappen…
aren’t they pretty? i have been wanting to make some pot holders (what a disdainful name for such pretty things! pha!) according to frau mülli’s GRANNY SMITH e-book… and now, as i got the first meters of  the CHIRP ORNAMENT fabric, i finally did it. well yes, they are so pretty, my display pot holders…

… praktisch sind sie nämlich jetzt nicht mehr, nachdem ich die glorreiche idee hatte, für die applikation der kerngehäuse und blätter, das übrig gebliebene hellgrüne leder aus meinem TASCHENprojekt zu verwenden. “oooh, das sieht ja viel schöner aus als filz und die farbe passt auch viel besser!” öhm ja… dachte ich dann HINTERHER… mit waschen ist dann ja wohl nix. ein bisschen ungeschickt für ein küchentextil. naja, aber das auge isst ja schließlich auch mit…. hübsch sind sie ja.

ihr dürft jetzt gern lachen.

… they just aren’t very practical anymore, because i had the glorious idea to use the light green leather scraps from my HANDBAG project to make the appliqués. “ooh, the colors of the leather is matching so well and it’s so much prettier than simple felt pieces!” umm well… until i realized LATER… that this way they can’t be washed anymore. that is not that useful for a kitchen textile, right? ok, but you must admit that they are damn pretty.
feel free to laugh at me now.

gut zu wissen!

meine lieben… die spatzen pfeifen im moment so einges von den dächern, unter anderem, dass der CHIRP ORNAMENTS stoff bereits ausverkauft sei. tatsache ist, dass der stoff für die HÄNDLER, also wiederverkäufer, bereits vergriffen ist. soweit korrekt! tatsache ist jedoch auch, dass er an die stoffhändler, die ihn bei der firma SWAFING geordert haben, noch gar nicht ausgeliefert ist. die auslieferung an die shops erfolgt nämlich erst ab montag! ;) er ist also JETZT heute noch bei keinem stoffhändler wirklich am lager, obwohl einzelne ihn bereits in VORbestellung vertreiben. 
ich möchte euch deshalb einfach um geduld bitten… es ist definitiv noch genug stoff da, der überhaupt erst im laufe der nächsten woche in den handel kommt! erst dann werden hunderte von händlern ihn in ihrem programm und auch wirklich auf lager haben… und ich bin sicher, dass ihr als endkunden ihn dann bei sehr vielen stoffhändlern eures vertrauens zum empfohlenen UVP bekommen werdet.
bis dahin wünsche ich euch ein wundervolles frühlingswochenende! da sollte man ‘eh lieber draußen rumtoben, als an der nähmaschine zu sitzen! ;)

P.S.ich bitte euch herzlich um verständis, dass ich persönlich keinen überblick habe, welche händler geordert haben und und wo genau er zu haben sein wird. den mein job ist nur der ENTWURF des stoffs… ;)

the birds are chirping…
die sonne scheint, euch gefällt der neue CHIRP ORNAMENTS stoff offensichtlich… was kann ich da noch mehr wollen? ich freu mich einfach. 
ab heute ist das stöffchen zu haben, die HÄNDLER konnten schon zuschlagen und so wird es hoffentlich schnellstmöglich beim händler eures vertrauens zu haben sein. ich wünsche euch ganz viel spaß beim vernähen und bin gespannt, was ihr daraus so zaubert!
sun is shining, you obviously like the new CHIRP ORNAMENTS fabric… can i ask for more? i’m quite happy. 
the fabric is available as of today and the RETAILERS already picked it! so it won’t take long until it will be available for everyone at the shops of the retailer of your confidence. enjoy sewing it up! i’m curious to see what you’re going to whip up! 

der blusenschnitt den luzie hier trägt ist übrigens UNELLA BLOMMA. die LOVEchirp stickerei auf der tasche ist der aus der PIMPIcuff-serie, der hatte die perfekte größe! … und weil bestimmt einige fragen werden… den bezaubernden papierschirm haben wir aus californien mitgebracht. der war ein liebes geschenk von NANCY, als wir sie und ihre familie im letzten sommer besucht haben. er erinnert uns immer an eine wunderbare zeit! xoxo! :)

the sewing pattern for this blouse is UNELLA BLOMMA. i used the LOVEchirp embroidery from the PIMPIcuff-set because the size matched perfectly! … and just because some of you probably will like to know… we brought this adorable paper umbrella back home from our california trip last summer. it was a lovely gift from NANCY when we visited her and her family last summer. it always reminds us of such good times! xoxo! :)

einige ganz besonders scharfe adleraugen haben ihn bereits auf einem poster am messestand von FARBENMIX erspäht… und die passionierten näh-ornithologen unter euch hatten ja immer mal wieder nachgefragt, ob wir es nicht nochmal neu auflegen könnten, das LOVECHIRP-stöffchen von damals. es hat ein weilchen gedauert, aber wir konnten tatsächlich und wir haben’s getan!
some eagle eyes with virtual acuity already spotted something on a poster at the FARBENMIX booth…. and the passionate sewing ornothologists among you have been asking over and over again if we could reprint the LOVECHIRP fabric from way back then again. it took a while but we could and we did!

dass der winter vorbei ist, merkt man ja spätestens an den zugvögeln, die in scharen nach hause zurückkehren, um bei uns den sommer zu verbringen. so kommt das pimpinellische vögelchen dieses mal in kleinen schwärmen ganz ornamental auf popeline angeflattert. völlig jahreszeitenunabhängig lässt es sich mit fast
allen bunten und bunteren farben kombinieren und so kleingemustert zu unzähligen großen und auch ganz kleinen projekten (wie z.b. diesem kürbis nadelkissen nach dem tutorial von WAS EIGENES) vernähen, ihr werdet sehen…  
you know that winter has gone when the migrant birds come home again in droves for summer. so the pimpinellish birdies come in a ornamental swarm, flying on popeline cotton fabric. it can be combined indepentent from any kind of season with almost any color matching… the small regular pattern can be sewn up in bigger and smaller projects (like this little pumpkin pin-cushion according to the tutorial of WAS EIGENES), you’ll see…

 … passend zum stöffchen kommen das CHIRPY HEARTS webband in 12 mm breite…

… along with the fabric comes the CHIRPY HEARTS ribbon in 12 mm width…

mein ganz besonderer dank geht an dieser stelle erneut an die liebe jeanette von HUUPS, die mich wieder einmal beim “bauen” des musters und beim schrauben am rapport mit ihrem know-how unterstützt hat! deshalb ist auch dieses stöffchen wieder ein gemeinsames baby. danke, jeanette… ♥
der CHIRP ORNAMENTS popeline von FARBENMIX geht am donnerstag, dem 22. märz online und ist dann (noch nicht vorher ;) für HÄNDLER direkt über SWAFING zu beziehen… für alle endverbraucher wird er dann hoffentlich so schnell wie möglich über den stoffhändler ihres vertrauens zu beziehen sein. die webbänder bekommt ihr auch ab donnerstag wie gewohnt bei mir im LÄDCHEN und natürlich direkt bei FARBENMIX im shop. 
ich wünsche euch ganz viel freude beim vernähen der kleinen piepser!

außerdem das webband für baum-umarmer und solche die es werden wollen… quasi ein wäldchen im miniformat … das TREEHUGGER band.
for serious tree huggers and those of you who want to become one… the TREEHUGGER ribbon is like a little forest “en miniature”.
 
außerdem… weil es so wunderschön ist (ich wünschte, das design wäre von mir! *lach*) und man gute wünsche ja nie genug haben kann… die farbenmix WISHES jetzt auch bei mir zu haben.

tasche für kleine baum-umarmerinnen

die aufmerksame blogleserin weiß ja längst… dass frau pimpinella eine tasche näht, kommt nicht ganz so häufig vor. schon allein, weil das so lange dauert, also bei mir. aber das fräulein wünschte sich schon so lange eine selbstgenähte, da dann…
the observant blog reader already know that mrs. pimpinalla and sewing handbags is a kind of sporadical relationship. i just don’t like how long it takes me (seems only me!) to make one, but the little fräulein wished for one, so…
mit dem gratis freeBOOK “ALLES DRIN” von farbenmix (hier geht’s zum download) hätte das auch wunderbar schnell gehen könne, wenn ich nicht immer so viel zeit mit der stoffaufwahl und tüddelei verbringen würde. mal abgesehen von der ewigen sucherei in meinem nähzimmer-chaos. öhem.

EDIT: ich habe die kleine ALLES DRIN-variante genäht und die nochmal um 10% verkleinert… so finde ich die größe perfekt für luzie.

 it could have been such a quick project using the freeBOOK “ALLES DRIN” ba farbenmix (free pattern download here, available in german, dutch and english) because it’s easily to sew. but i can spend hours pondering about fabric combos and notions, not mentioning all the searching for stuff in my chaos studio. ahem.

EDIT: i chose the small ALLES DRIN model for luzie and scaled it down 10% while printing… it fits perfectly.

die bänderauswahl fiel dieses mal wenigstens nicht schwer… natürlich sollten da die neuen drauf:CHIRPY FRIENDS und TREEHUGGER. die sind ab morgen dann auch endlich zu haben :). 
bei der aufteilung hatte ich mich ein bisschen verschätzt, deswegen war für einen gestickten treehugger schriftzug kein platz mehr. deswegen habe ich mit einem stückchen stoff, buchstabenstempeln und textil-stempelkissen (beides von PEPPauf) kurzerhand einen aufnäher improvisiert. zusammen mit dem yoyo und knopf gefällt mir das sogar noch besser als ursprünglich geplant.
 at least the choice og ribbons was easy this time… i took the new ones: CHIRPY FRIENDS and TREEHUGGER. they will be available as of tomorrow :).
space was out of my estimation embroidering the front part, so i skipped the planned treehugger lettering and improvised this label instead. i took a fabric scrap, alphabet rubber stamps and a textile stamp pad (both from PEPPauf) for it. together with a yoyo and button i like it even more.
 gestickte bäumchen sollten natürlich auch drauf, die sind dann auch ab morgen ONLINE…  
the tree ebroidery was a must of course, they will be ONLINE as of tomorrow, too… 
 … und auf pompoms steht die kleine madame im moment mindestens ebenso wie ich, deshalb sind auch an der tasche welche.
 … the little one loves pompoms like i do, so i added some to the handbag.
also, die nächste baumumarmung erfolgt dann mit adäquatem büdel! :)
well, the next treehugging will be with an appropriate bag! :)

happy pop of orange!

die nachbarn denken sicherlich mal wieder, die frau pimpinella hat sie nicht mehr alle am lattenzaun… und schleppt bei dauernebeligem uzzelwetter die polstermöbel auf die terrasse. egal, wat mutt dat mutt und so wird aus ermagelung an tageslicht im haus eben draußen fotografiert. 
i bet the neighbors once more think that mrs. pimpinella is all nuts… she’s schlepping (i so love that this german word is assimilated into american language!!!) the furniture out onto the patio despite the unplasent fogginess. sorry, but i have to if i want to catch some ray of daylight these days.
denn ich wollte euch doch so gern meinen neuen alten sessel zeigen… ungefähr so alt wie ich selbst, ein echter siebziger, allerdings viel besser in schuss als ich selbst und ein auktionsschnäppchen. er hat noch einen zwilling und ich freu mich wie bolle darüber.
because i  wanted to introduce you to my new old chair… it’s quite as old as i am, a genuine 70s darling but in pretty much better shape than i am. it was a thrifty auction snap and it came with a twin. i’m so pleased to call’em mine now.
freude über ganz frisch selbstgenähtes gibt es auch noch… ein passendes kissen, ganz fix genäht aus winterlichem wollstoff und bunter baumwolle… verziert mit der eichel-appli aus der neuen LILU CHIPMUNK-stickserie, mit kleinen yoyos und vintage-knöpfen.
moreover i am smitten with my brandnew handmade pillow.. matching the chair… it’s sewn quickly from winterly wool fabric and colorful cottons… upgraded with the acorn appliqué from the new LILU CHIPMUNK embroidery file, yoyos and vintage buttons.
klar, dass er da gleich wieder seine nase reinstecken muss, der peppermann. wie immer nach der devise “mittendrin statt nur dabei”… ^^

bommelborte und bänder dürfen natürlich auch nicht fehlen…. hier nochmal die hamburger liebe DAISIES und…
of course pompom trim and ribbons don’t miss on this pillow… once again i chose the pretty hamburger liebe DAISIES and…
… JA!!! die kleine LILU rennt am laufenden meter! ich brauche jetzt nicht noch mal zu sagen, wie sehr ich mich über die freue, oder? (*pssst* ich freu mich voll). nicht ganz so erfreulich ist, dass das streifenhörnchen etwas kapriziös ist und somit noch etwas auf sich warten lässt. das webband kommt erst beim übernächsten FARBENMIX update in den verkauf und dann auch in mein SHÖPchen.

aber VORfreude ist ja bekanntlich die schönste freude, nicht? ;)
… YES!!! little LILU is running by the yard! i guess i don’t have to repeat myself saying that i have a crush on her, right? (*shshhh* i’m all smitten!). the only thing unedifying is the fact, that she’s kind of capricious. so it will take a little more time until the ribbon will be available at FARBENMIX and my SHOP.
but isn’t anticipation the greatest pleasure? ;)

ganz schön viel geheimniskrämerei im hause pimpinella zur zeit. erst einmal durfte ich euch das DINGS in seinen details noch nicht zeigen… und jetzt musste ich das DINGS fotografieren, ohne dass die kleine dame des hause es mitbekommt, dabei handelt es sich nämlich schon um das erste handgemachte weihnachtsgeschenk…
so much secrets in the pimpinella home lately. first i had to hide the details of that THINGY from your eyes and now i had to make a secret shooting of the thingy, because it’s a christmas gift for my little one…

collected works of farbenmix sewing culture!
die halte ich hier in den händen. viele jahre vernähte LIEBE…  unendlich viel kreativität und herzblut…  die entstaubung der handarbeiten… kollektiven selbstmach-enthusiasmus… und und und…
that’s what i am holding in my hands right here. many years of sewed LOVE… endless creativity, heart and soul… off-dusted, reinvented textile works… collective DIY enthusiasm… and so much more…
dieses buch der farbenmixschen nähkultur dokumentiert auch einen abschnitt meines eigenen lebens. schaue ich mir die bilder an (malina… so klein!!! und die cosma-jacke in DEM oilily-stoff, den damals alle haben wollten!), wird mir bewusst, wie lange ich schon ein kleiner teil des großen ganzen bin und das macht mich ein bisschen stolz…
this catalogue of farbenmix nähkultur (= sewing culture) also documents a period of my own life. looking at the photographs (malina…. so small! and that cosma jacket, made out of THE oilily fabric everyone wanted to own back then!) i become aware how long i have been a small part of the whole big thing now. that makes me kinda proud…
… und wer hätte gedacht, dass aus mir jemals ein katalog-model wird! *lach*
 ich weiß, ich wiederhole mich… FARBENMIX, ohne dich würde uns allen etwas fehlen! etwas einzigartiges… 

… and who’d have thunk i’d be a catalogue model one day! *lol*
i know, i do repeat myself… without FARBENMIX something would be missing! something one-of-a-kind would be missing…

lang vermisst…
missed for long…
… doch endlich wieder da!
wie ich meiner mailbox schon entnehmen konnte, freuen sich einige von euch so richtig darüber!? ich auch!!! :) das pimpinell’sche VÖGELCHENband gibt’s ab sofort wieder in meinem SHOP und natürlich auch bei FARBENMIX!

 it’s raining cats & owls
samstags raus zu müssen zum einkaufen ist sowieso schon nicht mein lieblingssport. aber heute war es ja ganz übel… es stürmt und regnet ohne pause! *brrrrrrr*
i really don’t like doing the groceries on saturdays at all. today it was even worse with the stormy winds and heavy rain! *brrrrrrr*
zur allgemeinen stimmungsaufhellung und gegen sich verbreitende kochunlust habe ich mir das LECKER magazin mitgebracht. schade nur, dass ich nicht schon im supermarkt reingeluschert habe, dann hätten mir zuhause nicht wesentliche zutaten für ein echtes gute laune rezept gefehlt {avocado-grapefruit-salat mit knoblauchgarnelen auf seite 34}… schade eigentlich.
to cheer my self up and to prevent me from progressive cooking disiclination i brought myself a LECKER magazine. what a pity that i didn’t take the time to peep inside directly. otherwise i would have bought some basic ingredients for the happy-yummy recipe on page 34 {avocado-grapefruit-salad and garlic prawns}… well, yeah.

echte gute laune brachte dann aber noch ein blick auf seite 102… da seh’ ich ein paulapü‘sches farbenmix stöffchen: EULE HELGA an der spitze einer selbstgemachten gemüseampel!
but then i found something to cheer me up on page 102… there i spotted a paulapü-ish farbenmix fabric: OWL HELGA on top of a handmade hanging fruit basket!
