i was so pleased of the result of this iPhone shot and i thought you might be interested in how to shoot the perfect jump shot as well. actually there’s a little trick. the annoying thing about catching a jump or a similar quick move is, that the release is a bit to slow when you shoot conventionally. the camera usually catches the moment when the jumper get’s back on the ground  again. it’s like you’re always that little bit too late.
you can avoid that by doing the following: you position the person you want to photograph at the place where he/she is supposed to jump and you position yourself to shoot as well. you choose the angle of the shot {don’t forget to leave a bit of space in the upper area of the frame as you don’t want your object to jump out of the picture and cut off her/his head!} and then you focus the person {by tapping on the display, as you surely know}. now you touch the release button, and HOLD it {don’t take you’re finger off as you normally do!}. count together with your photo model… 1,2,3! at three he/she jumps and you release the button at the same time! wanna bet that  this works out? enjoy trying it yourself…
