when bloggers are on tour there are these kinda special moments. we stop at every corner to take pictures and often we lose sight of each other always looking through our lens {oops! we did my people go?}. we are magically intrigued by creative photo backdrops for group shots and selfies and we are obsessed with capturing the straight lines, horizons, diagonals and balance right. we also shoot our food with weird fervor! almost always. good thing that we bloggers are all the same breed, while sometimes other people might think that we are totally meshugge. being like-minded is so relaxing.

so surely it was exactely that way when i was on tour in LISBON with ANETTE, IGOR und INDRE last sunday. we were in the company of our lovely trip organizer TINA HERING, who would make a perfect blogger, too {as you can see in the following behind-the-scenes-pics}. we strolled through ALFAMA and passed by the beautiful CATHEDRAL SÉ PATRIARCAL, when we found the little tapas bar CASO SÉRIO just around the corner. we were starving and the place looked quirky and not that much touristy inside. perfect. everything on the menue sounded delicious… roasted sausage with honey and oranges, baked goat cheese with garlic, marinated octopus, tapenade, various salads, fresh bread and olives. we decided to order at random and share the dishes,. well yes, and when all the amazing looking food finally stood on the table, THIS happened quite naturally and automatically…

as said before, bloggers are such a unique species when it comes to predominant table rituals. definitely. but that’s okay…

luzia pimpinella | travel lissabon | restaurant tipp: tapas bar caso sério

because otherwise you maybe wouldn’t know, that there is this lovely little tapas restaurant in lisbon, just by the cathedral de patriarcal, where the dishes are not only photogenic but also freakin’ yummy. you probably wouldn’t know that the staff was incredibly friendly and that we paid piffling 50 euros in the end for all this incedible food goodness including drinks. so if you ever come around, you know where to go. happy weekend everyone…

TRAVEL

luzia pimpinella | travel portugal | lissabon - straßenbahn | lisbon - tram

it was quiet here yesterday. after my far too short trip to PORTUGAL i just had to even up our shortage of family time with with my lovelies. i’m sure you understand.
so, if you ever asked yourself where the cork stoppers in your wine bottles are coming from i can tell you in detail now and i will soon do it here on the blog. last sunday i landed in LISBON accompanied by anette {LOOK! PIMP YOUR ROOM}, igor {HAPPY INTERIOR BLOG} and indre {MIMA} to learn a lot of fascinating things about the natural material cork. but first we had a few hours to spend on our own, so we went on a tour through the historical center of  LISBOA. today i’m going to take ou on a photo walk to show you a tiny bit of this beautiful metropolis…

i instantly fell in love the trams, die ELÉCTRICOS de LISBOA. i really don’t know how many pictures i took of them. far too many, i guess. the color yellow is omnipresent… not only because of all the sunshine on that day.

and those AZULEJOS! they let my nordic beat a little bit faster and my pace go a little bit slower. a drean in blue tones. i just arrived but i’m already in the vacation mood. i’d love to stay for a while.

a slight breeze is blowing and a sun hat would be a wonderful accessoire now. must be lovely to just sit at the riverside of the TEJO and watch the sunset. but time is too short and we have to move on.

i resent myself for not remembering the legend of the ROOSTER of BARCELOS
that i once read somewehere. and i wonder if i should get me a mini azulejo as a travel souvenir, but i don’t… later i will be sorry for not taking one home. sigh.

and then we ALL get quite hungry and stop by a sweet little TAPAS bar, we found without purpose. i’ll show you this place {and also some weird bloggers eating out “behind the scenes”shots} tomorrow! for now have a great evening!
