… and ACTION!
auf unseren trip nach PARIS habe ich nicht nur die lomo-SPINNER mitgenommen (auf die entwicklung der filme warte ich noch, ich platze fast vor spannung!), sondern auch die älteste LOMO, die ich habe… eine kleine, bunte ACTIONsampler. ihr könnt sie hier in diesem POSTING im hintergrund erahnen. diese absolute spaßkamera habe ich emma & luzie in die hand gedrückt und sie haben während des urlaubs damit fotos gemacht.
jetzt habe ich dann endlich die entwickelten abzüge abgeholt. das hat ja immer eine spannung, die man im digitalen zeitalter gar nicht mehr gewohnt ist…. und auch immer einen gnadenlosen überraschungseffekt!
as you know i took the lomo-SPINNER with us on our trip to PARIS. the films aren’t back from developing yet, i’m bursting with curiosity how they will turn out. but i also took my very oldest LOMO, the little ACTIONsampler along for the girls. you can get a glimpse of it in this POSTING in the background. it’s abolutely a fun cam and emma & luzie shot some fun pictures.
now i got the developed film and photo-prints… it’s always so thrilling to have a look at them for the first time! an analogue thrill that we’re mostly not having in our digital world anymore. so totally… surprise… surprise!
so sieht es dann zum beispiel aus, wenn zwei mädels vor dem EIFFELTURM springbrunnen spielen und sich gegenseitig dabei knipsen…

… wie sie eine möglichst weite wasserfontäne spucken. ah ja.

… oder hier die komplette familie pimpinella vorm SACRÉ COEUR… naja, fast komplett, denn ein familienmitglied wurde leider halb abgeschnitten… geschossen von emma.

… oder auch nochmal die pimpinellas beim herumhüpfen vor dem LOUVRE , alle sichtlich bemüht ein möglichst dämliches gesicht zu machen. irgendwie ist das das schöne bei analogen fotos… sie fangen viel ungestellter das leben ein, in seiner ganzen grobkörnigen unvollkommenheit, und wenn man dann im augenblick des abdrückens dämlich guckt, dann ist das eben so!
P.S. ich denke, der ACTIONsampler ist wirklich ein netter, preisgünstiger einstieg in die LOMOGRAFIE. die kamera macht einfach spaß und die ergebnisse sind immer überraschend. sie arbeitet mit einem gewöhnlichen 35mm film, wir haben hier einen mit ISO 200 verwendet… die entwicklung kann man also auch ganz easypeasy überall machen lassen. wenn ihr euch mal für einen moment verabschieden könnt von gestochener schärfe und grobe körnung und über/unter/sonstwasbelichtung willkommen heißen könnt, dann werdet ihr auf jeden fall spaß haben.
… or again the family silly jumping in front of the LOUVRE obviously trying to make the most sappy face. that’s what i love about analogue photographs… they catch a glimpse of real life in a coarse-grained, unvarnished way. if you’re looking sappy at that moment, you’re looking sappy! that’s it!
P.S. i think, the ACTIONsampler is a good cam to start into LOMOGRAPHY. it’s an inexpensive fun toy and it works with a common 35mm film that can be developed everywhere. we used a simple ISO 200 for these shots. say goodbye to high fidelity … embrace grain and light leaks and you will have a blast.
