ich hatte euch ja erzählt, wie das war mit uns und der TOSKANA und den hummeln. also machten wir uns schon am ersten nachmittag auf den weg nach BOLGHERI. etwas abenteuerlich zugegebenermaßen, denn unser scout des tages hatte “die kürzeste route” vom navi berechnen lassen… wir lernten also gleich mal, dass in der toskana auf jeden fall die “schnellste route” diejenige welche ist, denn die kürzeste kann ewig dauern, wenn man plötzlich kilometerlang auf schotterigen feldwegen mit schlaglöchern so tief wie swimmingpools unterwegs ist.
i told you about us and the TUSCANY and the ants in our pants lately. so we went on a trip to BOLGHERI on the very first day after our arrival. it was an adventuresome ride as our scout of the day asked the satnav for the “shortest route”. we quickly learned that we should have asked for the “fastest route”. because the shortest might go on like forever when you drive dirt roads with chuckholes as deep as swimmingpools.
irgendwann wurden wir jedoch dann mit dem wunderbaren anblick der langen VIA DEI CIPRESSI belohnt, bevor wir endlich in dem idyllischen, kleinen ort ankamen. wir schlenderten herum… hatten das erste italienische eis des urlaubs (es sollte das erste von unzähligen werden)… und die erste pizza (auch die erste von sehr vielen). wenn ihr lust habt, noch einmal virtuell mitzuspazieren, nehme ich euch gerne mit…
when we finally made it we were rewarded with the amazing view of the long VIA DEI CIPRESSI, before we arrived at the idyllic, small town. we strolled around… had our first italian ice cream of our holiday (the first of countless more)… and our first pizza (also the first of many more). maybe you’d like to take a virtual walk with me…
