sehen  wir uns ja!? we’ll meet!? 

ja, hamburg rockt wirklich, aber an diesem wochenende hüpft das stoff-herz in nordhorn. ich freue mich, auf die hausmesse der firma SWAFING eingeladen zu sein (herzlichen dank auch nochmal an dieser stelle!) und da fahre ich jetzt hin … wie gesagt, vielleicht treffe ich ja die ein oder andere von euch dort! 
habt ein schönes wochenende!
yes, hamburg really rocks, but this weekend every fabric-enthusiastic heart jumps in nordhorn. i’m happy to be invited to the in-house exibit of SWAFING (many thanks again!) and now i’m on my way to get there… as i said, maybe i’ll meet some of you there!

was für eine küchenzier!

what a kitchen adornment!

sind sie nicht hübsch? ich wollte mir schon ganz lange ein paar
topflappen (was für ein schnödes wort dafür! pöh!) nach frau müllis
GRANNY SMITH e-book nähen…. und  jetzt, als ich die ersten meter des CHIRP ORNAMENTS
bekam, habe ich das endlich in angriff genommen. also ja, sie sind wirklich hübsch geworden, meine zier-topflappen…
aren’t they pretty? i have been wanting to make some pot holders (what a disdainful name for such pretty things! pha!) according to frau mülli’s GRANNY SMITH e-book… and now, as i got the first meters of  the CHIRP ORNAMENT fabric, i finally did it. well yes, they are so pretty, my display pot holders…

… praktisch sind sie nämlich jetzt nicht mehr, nachdem ich die glorreiche idee hatte, für die applikation der kerngehäuse und blätter, das übrig gebliebene hellgrüne leder aus meinem TASCHENprojekt zu verwenden. “oooh, das sieht ja viel schöner aus als filz und die farbe passt auch viel besser!” öhm ja… dachte ich dann HINTERHER… mit waschen ist dann ja wohl nix. ein bisschen ungeschickt für ein küchentextil. naja, aber das auge isst ja schließlich auch mit…. hübsch sind sie ja.

ihr dürft jetzt gern lachen.

… they just aren’t very practical anymore, because i had the glorious idea to use the light green leather scraps from my HANDBAG project to make the appliqués. “ooh, the colors of the leather is matching so well and it’s so much prettier than simple felt pieces!” umm well… until i realized LATER… that this way they can’t be washed anymore. that is not that useful for a kitchen textile, right? ok, but you must admit that they are damn pretty.
feel free to laugh at me now.

gut zu wissen!

meine lieben… die spatzen pfeifen im moment so einges von den dächern, unter anderem, dass der CHIRP ORNAMENTS stoff bereits ausverkauft sei. tatsache ist, dass der stoff für die HÄNDLER, also wiederverkäufer, bereits vergriffen ist. soweit korrekt! tatsache ist jedoch auch, dass er an die stoffhändler, die ihn bei der firma SWAFING geordert haben, noch gar nicht ausgeliefert ist. die auslieferung an die shops erfolgt nämlich erst ab montag! ;) er ist also JETZT heute noch bei keinem stoffhändler wirklich am lager, obwohl einzelne ihn bereits in VORbestellung vertreiben. 
ich möchte euch deshalb einfach um geduld bitten… es ist definitiv noch genug stoff da, der überhaupt erst im laufe der nächsten woche in den handel kommt! erst dann werden hunderte von händlern ihn in ihrem programm und auch wirklich auf lager haben… und ich bin sicher, dass ihr als endkunden ihn dann bei sehr vielen stoffhändlern eures vertrauens zum empfohlenen UVP bekommen werdet.
bis dahin wünsche ich euch ein wundervolles frühlingswochenende! da sollte man ‘eh lieber draußen rumtoben, als an der nähmaschine zu sitzen! ;)

P.S.ich bitte euch herzlich um verständis, dass ich persönlich keinen überblick habe, welche händler geordert haben und und wo genau er zu haben sein wird. den mein job ist nur der ENTWURF des stoffs… ;)

die vögel zwitschern..

the birds are chirping…
die sonne scheint, euch gefällt der neue CHIRP ORNAMENTS stoff offensichtlich… was kann ich da noch mehr wollen? ich freu mich einfach. 
ab heute ist das stöffchen zu haben, die HÄNDLER konnten schon zuschlagen und so wird es hoffentlich schnellstmöglich beim händler eures vertrauens zu haben sein. ich wünsche euch ganz viel spaß beim vernähen und bin gespannt, was ihr daraus so zaubert!
sun is shining, you obviously like the new CHIRP ORNAMENTS fabric… can i ask for more? i’m quite happy. 
the fabric is available as of today and the RETAILERS already picked it! so it won’t take long until it will be available for everyone at the shops of the retailer of your confidence. enjoy sewing it up! i’m curious to see what you’re going to whip up! 

der blusenschnitt den luzie hier trägt ist übrigens UNELLA BLOMMA. die LOVEchirp stickerei auf der tasche ist der aus der PIMPIcuff-serie, der hatte die perfekte größe! … und weil bestimmt einige fragen werden… den bezaubernden papierschirm haben wir aus californien mitgebracht. der war ein liebes geschenk von NANCY, als wir sie und ihre familie im letzten sommer besucht haben. er erinnert uns immer an eine wunderbare zeit! xoxo! :)

the sewing pattern for this blouse is UNELLA BLOMMA. i used the LOVEchirp embroidery from the PIMPIcuff-set because the size matched perfectly! … and just because some of you probably will like to know… we brought this adorable paper umbrella back home from our california trip last summer. it was a lovely gift from NANCY when we visited her and her family last summer. it always reminds us of such good times! xoxo! :)

P.S. die passenden webbänder sind in meinem kleinen LADEN jetzt auch online… und bei FARBENMIX wird es ab heute ein zauberhaftes SCHRÄGBAND aus dem stoff in limitierter auflage geben.

frau kann nie genug taschen haben

you can never have enough handbags

als ich den ersten meter CHIRP ORNAMENTS in den händen hielt, hatte ich direkt die vision einer chirpigen FLORABELLAtasche. wer mich schon länger kennt, der weiß, dass ich mich eigentlich lieber ums tasch-nähen drücke, aber den schnitt von andrea {JOLIJOU} liebe ich wirklich… vielleicht weil er so schön unkompliziert ist, dass sogar ich ein respektables modell hinbekomme! ;) außerdem mag ich, dass die tasche innen so schön geräumig ist und sie außen schon viele möglichkeiten zum kombinieren von verschiedenen stoffen, zum verzieren mit bändern und zum besticken bietet.

when i held the first meter of CHIP ORNAMENTS in my hands i immediately had the vision of a FLORABELA handbag. if you know me for a while you already know that sewing handbags is not my favorite, but i really love this pattern by andrea {JOLIJOU}. i guess i love it, because it is so easy to sew that even i can do it with respectable results! ;) besides that i totally like that the bag is so amply (or do you say roomy? sorry, i don’t know) inside and it offers a lot of possibilities for combining different fabric patterns, embroidery and ribbons on the outside.

die tasche ist übrigens ein geschenk für einen lieben menschen… aber *pssssssst*, nicht weitersagen! lieben dank auch an euch für euer bisheriges feedback zum stoff. es freut mich sehr, dass er offensichtich vielen von euch gefällt.
P.S. bestickt ist die tasche mit dem großen motiv aus der MATRUSCHKA PIMPINELLSKOVA serie und die kleinen baumelvögelchen sind eine in-the-hoop-stickerei aus der LOVECHIRP serie.
this bag will be a gift for a beloved person… but *shhhhhh*… please don’t tell! and let me thank you for your sweet feedback on my new fabric. i’m happy that so many of you like it.
P.S. the used embroidery is the large lovebirds appliqué from the MATRUSCHKA PIMPINELLSKOVA series and the small hanging birds are made using the in-the-hoop-embroidery from the LOVECHIRP series.

einige ganz besonders scharfe adleraugen haben ihn bereits auf einem poster am messestand von FARBENMIX erspäht… und die passionierten näh-ornithologen unter euch hatten ja immer mal wieder nachgefragt, ob wir es nicht nochmal neu auflegen könnten, das LOVECHIRP-stöffchen von damals. es hat ein weilchen gedauert, aber wir konnten tatsächlich und wir haben’s getan!
some eagle eyes with virtual acuity already spotted something on a poster at the FARBENMIX booth…. and the passionate sewing ornothologists among you have been asking over and over again if we could reprint the LOVECHIRP fabric from way back then again. it took a while but we could and we did!

dass der winter vorbei ist, merkt man ja spätestens an den zugvögeln, die in scharen nach hause zurückkehren, um bei uns den sommer zu verbringen. so kommt das pimpinellische vögelchen dieses mal in kleinen schwärmen ganz ornamental auf popeline angeflattert. völlig jahreszeitenunabhängig lässt es sich mit fast
allen bunten und bunteren farben kombinieren und so kleingemustert zu unzähligen großen und auch ganz kleinen projekten (wie z.b. diesem kürbis nadelkissen nach dem tutorial von WAS EIGENES) vernähen, ihr werdet sehen…  
you know that winter has gone when the migrant birds come home again in droves for summer. so the pimpinellish birdies come in a ornamental swarm, flying on popeline cotton fabric. it can be combined indepentent from any kind of season with almost any color matching… the small regular pattern can be sewn up in bigger and smaller projects (like this little pumpkin pin-cushion according to the tutorial of WAS EIGENES), you’ll see…

 … passend zum stöffchen kommen das CHIRPY HEARTS webband in 12 mm breite…

… along with the fabric comes the CHIRPY HEARTS ribbon in 12 mm width…

 … sowie das HEARTS ORNAMENT webband in 15mm.

… as well as the HEARTS ORNAMENT  ribbon in 15 mm.

mein ganz besonderer dank geht an dieser stelle erneut an die liebe jeanette von HUUPS, die mich wieder einmal beim “bauen” des musters und beim schrauben am rapport mit ihrem know-how unterstützt hat! deshalb ist auch dieses stöffchen wieder ein gemeinsames baby. danke, jeanette… ♥
der CHIRP ORNAMENTS popeline von FARBENMIX geht am donnerstag, dem 22. märz online und ist dann (noch nicht vorher ;) für HÄNDLER direkt über SWAFING zu beziehen… für alle endverbraucher wird er dann hoffentlich so schnell wie möglich über den stoffhändler ihres vertrauens zu beziehen sein. die webbänder bekommt ihr auch ab donnerstag wie gewohnt bei mir im LÄDCHEN und natürlich direkt bei FARBENMIX im shop. 
ich wünsche euch ganz viel freude beim vernähen der kleinen piepser!

the FARBENMIX fabric CHIRP ORNAMENTS will be available for RETAILERS online as of thursday 22nd of march (no, not earlier;) via SWAFING. all retail customers will hopefully find it at the shop of their favorite fabric dealer shortly after. the ribbons will be available at my little SHOP of course as well as at the FARBENMIX shop directly for wholesale. 
enjoy sewing up the little chirpers!
