es ist die jahreszeit für herzerwärmende handarbeiten… am besten welche, die man auf dem sofa mit einer tasse tee und einer katze, die einem die füße wärmt, genießen kann.

gerade habe ich mir die neuste ausgabe der britischen MOLLIE MAKES bei fräulein HERZ bestellt … und bin völlig angezuckert von dem magazin über “living & loving” handmade.
i just received the latest issue of the britisch craft magazine MOLLIE MAKES via fräulein HERZ… and i’m totally smitten by all this “living & loving handmade”.
voller winterhandarbeitsenthusiasmus habe ich jetzt einen haufen wolle griffbereit neben der couch platziert… und weine nachts in mein kissen, dass ich immer noch nicht stricken kann.
full of enthusiasm about winter craftings i piled up wool beside the couch… and i’m weepy that i still can’t knit.
aber ich kann häkeln, auch wenns eine ganze weile her ist. im moment verfolge ich mit neid (aber nur ein bisschen), was SANNA am laufenden band für schmuckstücke häkelt. ein BANJUkissen steht eigentlich auch noch auf meiner liste für den winter. außerdem habe ich mir schon letzten winter dieses tolle buch hier gekauft: beyond the square: CROCHET MOTIFS

weil ich so aus der übung bin, musste erst einmal was ganz simples her! wenns dann mal fertig ist, dann wird es ein bezug für meinen jetzt häßlich kobaltblauen schreibtischhocker.
since i’m out of practice i started crocheting something simple first. it will become a cove for my ugly cobalt blue office stool.
was noch? abends auf dem sofa knöpfe annähen ist zur zeit auch ganz hoch im kurs. das hat sowas herrlich meditatives… und schließlich wollen schon bald zwei koffer gefüllt werden…. einer fährt mit mir nach kassel zum KOFFERLADEN und einer begleitet mich wieder ins schöne münster zur KOFFERSCHAU.
also langweilig wird mir diesen winter nicht.
what else to do? sewing on bottons sitting on the sofa at night is one of my favorite things to do at the moment. it’s kind of ruminant… and after all i have to fill up two pieces of luggage soon. one suitcase will be travelling with me to the KOFFERLADEN in kassel and the other to lovely münster again to take part of the KOFFERSCHAU.
well, i think i won’t get bored this winter.
