fast jeder von uns kennt jemanden direkt oder indirekt, der an brustkrebs erkrankt ist. ich auch.
der monat oktober ist seit jahren BRUSTKREBSMONAT, leider hört man hierzulande kaum etwas darüber in den medien. da wir in den letzten jahren im oktober in den USA urlaub gemacht haben, weiß ich das dort dieses thema im rahmen des NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH ganz anders angegangen wird. die öffentliche anteilnahme ist dort sehr groß. überall begegnet einem die farbe PINK in form von schleifen… solidaritätsmärsche werden veranstaltet…. man sieht frauen mit pinken t-shirts und dem aufdruck I’M A SURVIVOR (das synonym für “überlebende” als auch für “ich bin hart im nehmen”).
almost everyone of us directly or indirectly knows somebody who is/was a victim of breast cancer. me, too.
the month of october has been BREAST CANCER MONTH for years, but there is rarely awareness in this country for it. the last few years we have been travelling to the USA in october and we noticed that there’s much more solidarity. which is quite obvious as the people celebrate the BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. you see spots of pink and pink ribbons everywhere, breast cancer walks are made, you see women in pink tees saying I’M A SURVIVOR.
martina von GO BUNT ist selbst betroffene, eine überlebende, eine die hart im nehmen ist und die gesiegt hat! ich unterstütze sie sehr gern, bei ihrem persönlichen engagement, mehr bewusstsein und solidarität für brustkrebs zu schaffen. mit ihrer idee können wir ein kleines zeichen setzen.
martina from GO BUNT suffered from breast cancer herself, she is a suvivor, she battled the cancer and she won! i gladly help to support her mission to bring this issue more to our collective conscience. thanks to her idea we all can set a visual sign.
