… war mein absoluter lieblingsact des STAMP festivals!
… was my absolutely favorite STAMP festival act!

(übrigens… der aufmerksame beobachter wird luzie auf der untersten treppenstufe ganz am anfang des videos und meinen fotografierenden rotschopf am ende kurz sehen! ;)
(the close observer will see luzie on the stairs right at the beginning and my photographing redhead at the end of the video btw… ;)
the MARCH FORTH MARCHING BAND wird übrigens noch einmal morgen abend in der MARKTMALLE hamburg auftreten… und außerdem am samstag, dem 11.09. in LEER auf schloss evenburg! vielleicht habt ihr ja lust. ich kann nur sagen, das lohnt sich zu sehen!
.. the MARCHING FOURTH MARCHING BAND will perform one more time at the MARKTHALLE, hamburg tomorrow night… and you can see them on saturday, 11.09. at the evenburg castle in LEER… in case you want to see them live. it’s really worth it… just saying!

the street arts melting pot…
… die straße bebte am wochenende in altona… beim STAMP, dem internationalen festival der straßenkünste! was als samstagsausflug von familie pimpi geplant war, wurde vor lauter begeisterung zu einem ganzen street art wochenende.
es war so grandios, ich schaffe es nicht mal, alle meine bilder in einem blog-posting unterzubringen… also bleibt dran, wenn ihr noch mehr sehen mögt…
…this weekend hamburg altona’s streets were trembling… celebrating the STAMP, the international festival of street arts! what was planned as a saturday gataway of the pimpi-family endet up as a whole street arts weekend because we were so enthusiastic about it.
it was so awesome, i can’t even pack all my weekend shots in one blog posting… so stay tuned if you want to see more…

GOLDEN
ich möchte mich bedanken für EURE begeisterung für die bunten mexico fotos! ich freue mich sehr… besonders, weil ich oft gar nicht weiß wie ich meine eigene begeisterung für dieses land in passende worte kleiden soll. wie schön dass ihr sie in den bildern sehen und erfühlen könnt… DANKE!
das wochenende soll hierzulande ja nicht so golden werden… ich wünsche euch trotzdem ein paar goldige momente!
thank you so much for your warm enthusiasm about the colorfol mexican photos! that makes me happy… especially since i struggle for words to describe my own exaltation about mexico. it’s so very nice that you’re able to see and feel it looking at my pictures… THANK YOU!
seems that the weekend won’t be that golden here in this country… nevertheless i wish you some sweet golden moments!

COLORS
womit nur anfangen? womit anfangen, wenn zweiundvierzig gigabyte an photos gesichtet und aussortiert werden wollen… wenn tausende eindrücke und erinnerungen im kopf herumschwirren? es ist immer etwas schwierig für mich, die richtigen worte zu finden, um zu beschreiben, wie wunderbar eine reise sein kann, wie beeindruckend und bereichernd…
dann sitze ich hier und stelle wieder einmal fest, dass ich keine großer schreiberin bin. ich bin eine fotografin. also lasse ich die bilder erzählen…
where to start? where to start with fourtytwo gigabyte of photographs to be looked through and assorted… with thousands of impressions and memories on my mind? it’s always hard for me to find appropriate words to describe how amazing a journey can be, how impressing and enriching…
sitting here i once again realize that i am not a big writer. i am a photographer. so i let the pics tell the story…
… natürlich hatte auch luzie ihr wichtigstes dabei… eselchen & ihre kamera.
… luzie also brought her most important things of course… “eselchen” & her  camera.
mexico… wir haben uns verliebt.

farbe bekennen!

woche 2… ROT
…ist, wie ihr alle wisst eine meiner LIEBlingsfarben und die farbe der LIEBE… grund genug um meinen beitrag den zwei städten zu widmen, denen wohl für immer mein HERZ gehört.
week 2… RED
… as you all know is one of my favorite colors and the color of LOVE… reason enough to dedicate this posting to the two cities i lost my HEART to forever.
HAMBURG reds…
… and NEW YORK CITY reds… 
ihr lieben, ich verabschiede mich schon mal ins wochenende. es warten liebe freunde… eine menge spaß… und hoffentlich auch ein bisschen sonnenschein auf uns. lasst es euch gut gehen!

ach… well…
grau kann doch auch mal ganz schön sein…
so grey can be pretty too…
habe ich festgestellt, als ich mir heute die zeit vertreiben musste.
i noticed while i had to pass some time today.
ein weißer rettungsring im winter? macht das irgendwie sinn?
a white lifesaver in winter? does that make any sense?
kein respekt vor großen dichtern… die hanseatischen möwen!
no respect for grand poets… these “hanseatic” seagulls!
verlassen… abandoned…
baby it’s cold outside!
hamburger rathaus… hamburg town hall…
nicht so clever, oder?
not that clever, right?
nach meinem spaziergang konnte ich dann meinen lieblingsmann von seiner schulter-OP in der nahegelegenen orthopädiepraxis abholen. ich widerstand dem impuls, noch ein graues foto zu schießen, dann das wäre wirklich deprimierend gewesen: lieblingsmann in grauen klamotten, der mir (aus versicherungstechnischen gründen) im grauen rollstuhl entgegen geschoben wurde! nee… das war kein gutes grau. gut war, als er aufstand, grinste und mir sagte, alles wäre prima verlaufen! :)
after the walk i picked up my hubby who had a shoulder surgery meanwhile at an orthopedy practice nearby. i went against the impulse to take another grey shot of the day because this one would have been depressing: my hubby with in grey clothing being pushed (for actuarial reasons) in a wheel chair! nope… that wasn’t a good grey. the good thing was when he stood up, grinned and told me that everything went fine! :)
