mouse pads as a promotional gift from whoever and whereever? well, this happens
here all the time and 99% of them are pretty ugly advertising
vehicles with a qustionable design. every time i get one i ask
myself… who the heck is really using these thingies at the working
space? not me. nevertheless i can’t put them in the trash, because
that would give my ecological concience a hard time. so i pile the up
here. but the last free mouse pad i got latlely, now shines brandew in an
amazing upcycling look… see what a hipster accessoire it is now!
das mousepad
adhesive tape {e.g. stylefix}
and here’s the how-to:
* glue the piece of leather to the unattractive upper side of the mouse pad with a glue that’s
best for your special materials, the leather should overlap the pad
* flatten the leather carefully and press it onto the pad, let the glue set afterwards
* then cut off the overlapping leather with scissors as close to the edge as possilble
* draw the dots with the big tip permanent pen. point the tipof the pen onto the leather
vertically and twist it a little bit. this way you can create nicely round dots.
* last step is to draw lines to link the dots. use a ruler and the fine-liner-pen for that
… done!
now the fräulein an i are fighting about who’s stylish work desk accessoire it is… good thing that i have some more ugly commercial gift pads that are waiting for a golden makeover! ;)
